Cost Accountant required Full Time

Job Opportunity: Cost Accountant We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Food and Beverage Cost Accountant, you will manage and monitor operating costs in the food and beverage department.

You will be responsible for cost analysis, inventory management, and budget control to ensure adherence to financial goals. Your contributions will be integral to optimising performance and enhancing profitability within the organisation.

Responsibilities for Cost Accountant
• Monitor and control the cost of food, beverages, and other supplies.
• Oversee daily inventory management, including receiving, storing, and issuing supplies.
• Perform daily purchase price analysis.
• Conduct physical stock counts regularly and reconcile discrepancies. • Ensure proper documentation for all inventory movements and transfers.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
• Monitor and optimize stock levels to avoid overstocking or stock shortage
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to manage production costs effectively.
• Review spoilage, expiration, and wastage reports and suggest preventive actions.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly consumption patterns to predict future needs

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the Cost Accountant in F&B field within Kuwait.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in F&B management systems.
• Sound knowledge of food production processes and inventory control.
• Proven experience in cost control or financial management within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
