We are hiring Procurement Assistant. Candidates who are currently available in Kuwait with transferable residency can apply. Job Role :- – Verify Purchase Requisitions by comparing items requested and available items in stores and recommending alternatives. – Preparing and circulating Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain the best quotations. – Preparation of bid tabulation for comparison of price, delivery terms, payment terms, and quality. – Prepare Purchase Orders (PO’s) as per specs, quality & price. -Recommend alternative/substitute products and get approvals from the requisitioning department. – Negotiation of long-term supply contract terms for repeat use products / services. – Handing Post-PO activities such as follow-up and expedite deliveries, customs clearance, and inventory delivery as per site requirements. – Maintain proper records and filing documents for audit trail and ensure compliance with Company policies and guidelines. – Assist to prepare purchase plans by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data based on market trends. – Proactively liaison between suppliers and Accountants to resolve payment issues, ensure an accurate and timely delivery of ordered materials. – Negotiate with vendors to obtain best deal prior to finalize the PO and keep long term fixed % discount rate for products / service. – Update market knowledge thus to get information about new cost-effective products for various Business Units. – Building long term business relationship and maintain supplier database for each category of product / service.
Key Responsibilities:- – Responsible for the integrity and security of data and information held on the financial system and its related files and the coordination of upgrades to the system. – Undertake any other duties assigned by Purchase Manager.
Skills:- – Product knowledge (Electro-Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Electronics) and negotiation sill with manufacturers / dealers / suppliers and maintain public relations. – Knowledge of the INCO terms, and general terms and conditions of the Contract etc. – Effective time management to frequent deadlines. – Strong written and verbal communication skills. – Knowledge about customs rules and regulations for shipment clearance and supply management awareness. – Adhere to code of ethical conduct. – Computer literate with intermediate MS Office skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems. Working experience in ORACLE or related ERP system is highly regarded. Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, engineering, business administration or similar discipline. 2-3 years of experience in Procurement.
