Required Laboratory Manager Full Time

Urgently Required Laboratory Manager for Soil, Concrete & Asphalt Lab. Responsibilities:
• ISO 17025 Compliance: Oversee and ensure the laboratory’s compliance with ISO 17025 standards, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management system.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality control processes and procedures, including document control, equipment calibration, proficiency testing, and internal audits, to maintain the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Laboratory Operations Management: Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including project management, sample handling, testing protocols, and reporting, to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil, concrete, and asphalt testing methodologies, relevant industry standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BSI etc.), and laboratory equipment operation.
• Staff Training and Development: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to laboratory personnel on ISO 17025 requirements, quality control practices, and testing methodologies to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Equipment and Resources: Manage laboratory equipment, instruments, and resources, ensuring their proper maintenance, calibration, and availability to support accurate and reliable testing.
• Client Communication: Interact with clients, understand their testing requirements, provide technical advice and support, and ensure effective communication of test results and any related inquiries or concerns.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports detailing test results, findings, conclusions, and recommendations for clients.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost optimization within the laboratory. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance overall laboratory performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in soil, concrete, and asphalt testing methods and procedures.
• In-depth understanding of ISO 17025 requirements and quality management systems.
• Proven experience in laboratory management, preferably in a testing facility.
• Strong leadership and team management
skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
